چکیده

To investigate Casimir electromagnetic interaction in $N$ bodies, we implement multiple $\delta$-function plates with electric and magnetic properties. We use their optical properties to study the energy between by implementing scattering formalism. initially solve Green's functions for two three configurations obtain reflection coefficients. Casimir-Polder interaction of atoms with magnetodielectric bodies

Abstract. A general theory of the Casimir-Polder interaction of single atoms with dispersing and absorbing magnetodielectric bodies is presented, which is based on QED in linear, causal media. Both ground-state and excited atoms are considered. Whereas the Casimir-Polder force acting on a ground-state atom can conveniently be derived from a perturbative calculation of the atom-field coupling en...

Casimir attraction in multilayered plane parallel magnetodielectric systems

A powerful procedure is presented for calculating the Casimir attraction between plane parallel multilayers made up of homogeneous regions with arbitrary magnetic and dielectric properties by use of the Minkowski energy-momentum tensor. The theory is applied to numerous geometries and shown to reproduce a number of results obtained by other authors. Although the various pieces of theory drawn u...

The Casimir force between rough metallic plates

– The Casimir force between two metallic plates is affected by their roughness state. This effect is usually calculated through the so-called 'proximity force approximation' which is only valid for small enough wavevectors in the spectrum of the roughness profile. We introduce here a more general description with a wavevector-dependent roughness sensitivity of the Casimir effect. Since the prox...

Non-Equilibrium Casimir Force between Vibrating Plates

We study the fluctuation-induced, time-dependent force between two plates confining a correlated fluid which is driven out of equilibrium mechanically by harmonic vibrations of one of the plates. For a purely relaxational dynamics of the fluid we calculate the fluctuation-induced force generated by the vibrating plate on the plate at rest. The time-dependence of this force is characterized by a...

Wightman function and Casimir densities for Robin plates in the Fulling–Rindler vacuum

Wightman function, the vacuum expectation values of the field square and the energy– momentum tensor are investigated for a massive scalar field with an arbitrary curvature coupling parameter in the region between two infinite parallel plates moving by uniform proper acceleration. We assume that the field is prepared in the Fulling–Rindler vacuum state and satisfies Robin boundary conditions on...
